ISLAMABAD: Pakistan vehemently denounced on Wednesday the heinous act of terrorism that occurred earlier today in the Martyrs Cemetery of Kerman, the provincial capital of Iran, which left numerous people dead or injured.

A press release from the Foreign Office Spokesperson stated, “In this hour of grief and tragedy, Pakistan stands in full solidarity with the government and brotherly people of Iran.”

It was further stated that Pakistan felt that bilateral and regional cooperation was necessary to combat terrorism, which it saw as a threat to regional and international peace and security.
The spokesperson said, “We pray for the quick recovery of the injured and offer our sincere condolences to the families of the victims.”
