ISLAMABAD: The Meteorological Office in Islamabad has forecasted that the highest concentration of pollen is expected in Islamabad and Rawalpindi during the last week of March 2024.
As temperatures rise with the changing season, pollen levels are rapidly increasing in the twin cities. Over the next two weeks, the intensity of pollen concentration is anticipated to rise sharply due to prevailing weather conditions.
People who suffer from pollen allergies are urged to take necessary precautions.
The most common pollen types found in Islamabad include Paper Mulberry, Acacia, Eucalyptus, Pines, Grasses, Cannabis, Dandelion, and Alternaria.

Paper Mulberry contributes about 97% of the total pollen count, with concentrations reaching extreme levels of around 45,000 per cubic meter of air during peak blossom season, according to the alert.
