PESHAWAR: The online driving license service for overseas has been launched by the newly elected government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
By expanding the online driving license renewal option, the provincial government made a significant contribution to the well-being of Pakistanis living abroad. With this recent move, KP becomes the first region in Pakistan to offer services to its nationals living abroad.
Applicants from abroad can now easily renew their driver’s licenses online by visiting the corresponding high commissioners, consulates, or embassies.

In order to obtain a new driver’s license, applicants must email scanned copies of their ID card, passport, expired driver’s license, recent medical fitness certificate, and fee challan. The diplomatic missions will forward these documents to the traffic police via official channels.
By offering this online renewal facility, the government demonstrated their commitment to assisting the Pakistani diaspora and made a much-needed step in response to the long-standing need of Pakistanis living abroad.
Chief Minister of KP Ali Amin Gandapur stressed the value of Pakistanis living abroad and promised to keep helping them.
In Punjab, electronic driving licenses were also introduced, and individuals can apply online and obtain their licenses in PDF format via the Driving License Information Management System (DLIMS) website.
