QUETTA: The Balochistan government has removed approximately 2,000 school teachers from their positions due to continuous absenteeism. This decision was made during a meeting of the education department chaired by Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugto.
Bugto directed the chief secretary to provide a report on the implementation of the termination orders within a month. He also emphasized appointing district education officers based on merit and assured no political interference in the department’s affairs.
Bugto warned of action against the education secretary if teacher absenteeism persists, highlighting the government’s commitment to education reform. He mentioned the substantial amount of money invested in each child’s education in the province, noting that this funding could allow a child to attend a high-quality private school.
