AMMAN: With a hat-trick from Mousa Al Ta’mari, Jordan outclassed Pakistan 7-0 in their FIFA World Cup Qualifier 2026 Round-2 match at the Amman International Stadium in Amman, Jordan last night.
Pakistan was facing Jordan in the fixture of the fourth round of Group-G competitions in the Asian qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup.
Despite stubborn defending by Pakistan at the start, Jordan dominated and took the lead in the 15th minute. Jordanian Musa Al-Taamari scored a hat-trick by netting the first, fourth, and sixth goals. Yazan Al-Naimat scored the second goal through a penalty kick in the 28th minute.

Saad Al-Rousan netted the third goal for the team in the 52nd minute dodging goalkeeper Yousuf Butt with a delectable touch. Changing over, Ali Alwan found the back of the net in the 75th minute. Receiving a pass from Naimat, Olwan sidestepped a couple to slot home.
Following a sixth stunner of the match from Ta’mari, Muhammad Abu Zureiq, wrapped up the scoreline with the seventh goal in the 83rd minute.
This remarkable victory has lifted Jordan to second place, behind Saudi Arabia and two ahead of Tajikistan, in Group Seven of the 2026 WCQ and brightened Jordan’s chances of making it to Round 3, as the team amassed a total of seven points.
On March 21, Pakistan faced defeat from Jordan by 3-0 in the home fixture of the second round of FIFA World Cup 2026 qualifier at Jinnah Stadium in Islamabad. Pakistan Football Team’s next fixture is against Saudia Arabia, scheduled to be played on June 6, 2024, at Jinnah Stadium in Islamabad.
