ISLAMABAD: According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department, most parts of the country are expected to experience rain starting on March 27 and lasting until March 31.
The Pakistan Meteorological Department has announced a new period of rain beginning.
All individuals should take all necessary precautions to prevent fatalities, damage to infrastructure, harm to crops, and animals.
The Met Office predicts that a westerly wave will strike the country’s western regions on March 27.
It is then expected to engulf the upper and central regions on March 28 and last until March 31.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa
Chitral, Dir, Swat, Abbottabad, Mansehra, Haripur, Kohistan, Shangla, Buner, Waziristan, Kohat, Lakki Marwat, Bannu, Dera Ismail Khan, Bajaur, Malakand, Mohmand, Karak, Khyber, Peshawar, Charsadda, Nowshera, Swabi, Mardan, and Kurram are all predicted to experience rain, windstorms, or thunderstorms (snowfall over the mountains) from March 27 to March 31. On March 29 and 30, there may also be sporadic heavy precipitation and a hailstorm.
Kashmir/Gilgit-Baltistan
In Gilgit-Baltistan (Diamir, Astore, Ghizer, Skardu, Hunza, Gilgit, Ghanche, Shigar), as well as in Kashmir (Neelum valley, Muzaffarabad, Rawalakot, Poonch, Hattian, Bagh, Haveli, Sudhanoti, Kotli, Bhimber, Mirpur), rain, wind, and thunderstorm (snowfall over the hills) are predicted, with sporadic gaps occurring between March 27 and April 1. On March 29 and 30, there may also be sporadic heavy precipitation and a hailstorm.Pakistan/Punjab.
From the 27th (evening/night) to the 31st of March, there will be intermittent rain-wind/thunderstorms in the following locations: Murree, Galliyat, Islamabad/Rawalpindi, Attock, Chakwal, Jhelum, Mandi Bahauddin, Gujrat, Gujwalaz, Lahore, Toshal, Torwal, Torwal, Kahabad Dera Ghazi Khan, Rajanpur, Bhakkar, Layyah, Multan, Pakpattan, Sahiwal, Kot Addu, Muzaffargarh, Rahim Yar Khan, Sadiqabad, Khanpur, Bahawalpur, and Bahawalnagar are also predicted to have rain, wind, or thunderstorms, with sporadic breaks, from March 28 to 30. During the predicted period, an isolated windstorm or hailstorm is also anticipated in the province.
Balochistan
In Zhob, Sherani, Barkhan, Musakhel, Kohlu, Sibbi, Jhal Magsi, Loralai, Ziarat, Quetta, Chaman, Pishin, Qila Abdullah, Qila Saifullah, Kalat, and Khuzdar, rain, wind, and thunderstorm are predicted for March 27 and 29. In the province’s southern regions, dry weather and winds that raise dust are predicted.
Sindh
On March 28 and 29, a rainstorm and thunderstorm are predicted in Sindh for Sukkur, Jacobabad, Kashmore, Larkana, and Dadu. In the province’s southern regions, dry weather and winds that raise dust are predicted.
