ISLAMABAD In the interbank market on Friday, the Pakistani rupee gradually strengthened against the US dollar on the back of more encouraging data regarding foreign exchange reserves.
The local currency gained 42 paisas against the US dollar, according to information gathered from money dealers, and is currently trading at Rs281.25.

The Pakistani rupee saw a slight increase against the US dollar on Thursday, ending the day at Rs281.67.
In a significant development, the State Bank of Pakistan’s (SBP) foreign exchange reserves saw a noteworthy rise of $1.3 billion over the course of the two-week period, bolstered by official inflows from international financial institutions into the government of Pakistan.
