Inauguration of 36 Upgraded Police Stations in Rawalpindi by Punjab’s Caretaker Chief Minister
RAWALPINDI: The Caretaker Chief Minister of Punjab, Mohsin Naqvi has inaugurated 36 upgraded police stations in Rawalpindi. Addressing the media, Chief Minister Naqvi stated that today we are inaugurating 36 police stations, bringing the total number of upgraded police stations in Punjab to 737. All police stations in Rawalpindi have been upgraded as part of this initiative, with special emphasis placed on the efforts of the Inspector General of Police (IGP) Punjab.
He mentioned that the developmental work on Holy Family Hospital will be completed by January 31. Upgradation of hospitals in Multan, Lahore, and Rawalpindi is a top priority. Similarly, work is underway day and night on the Ring Road project, and progress is being made on the construction of the Ducha Dam. Initiatives are also being taken for the development of Kutchery Chowk Underpass.
Chief Minister Naqvi expressed optimism about the restoration of the Metro Bus Track, stating that work on the Lahore Metro Bus Track will commence soon, as funds for the project have already been released.
He teased good news for the journalist community, mentioning ongoing projects for the welfare of journalists in the Journalist Colony. The Chief Minister assured that progress is being made on these projects for the betterment of journalists.

During his visit, Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi toured the Holy Family Hospital, where he assessed the progress of developmental work. He received a briefing on the upgradation of Holy Family Hospital, and the Inspector General of Punjab Police, Dr. Usman Anwar, accompanied the Chief Minister.
The Commissioner of Rawalpindi, Deputy Commissioner, Regional Police Officer, and City Police Officer were also present at the occasion. Chief Minister Naqvi directed the swift completion of the upgradation work, emphasizing the need to expedite the process while keeping in mind the challenges faced by the patients. He stressed the importance of completing the upgradation of Holy Family Hospital on time, ensuring better facilities for the patients.
