LAHORE: The new academic year commenced across Punjab on Monday, however, students across the province are compelled to attend school without necessary textbooks.
Due to limited book production as a result of rising paper costs and budgetary constraints at the Punjab Textbook Board, about 48,000 schools in the province of Punjab are facing a shortage of free books.
Unfortunately, this year, no school has received the required textbooks for the new academic year, leaving students to attend classes without their essential learning materials.
Another problem that teachers in Punjab are facing is the hassle of having to go to warehouses to find books.
