PCB appoints Sami Burney as new media department head

LAHORE: Replacing Aalia Rasheed, Sami Burney has been made Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Media Director.

Aalia Rasheed had earlier announced her resignation from her X post.

Aliya Rasheed was the first woman to lead the media department and was appointed during PCB chairman Zaka Ashraf’s term.

According to sources, Alia Rashid faced a great deal of pressure after she announced her captaincy without consulting Shaheen Shah Afridi.

Sami Burney was previously the media director of PCB.
