During the PPP’s tenure, the Sindh government launched the intra-district People’s Bus Service project in Karachi in June 2022. The air-conditioned buses came from China.
Sharjeel went on to say that the people of Karachi could now take advantage of this ‘amazing service’ at the most affordable price.
Sharjeel added that the buses would be ready for public use in a matter of days.
Around 240 air-conditioned buses were imported from China for the Peoples Intra District Bus Service project’s first phase. In the first phase, seven routes were finalized, with 240 buses operating on them.
