ISLAMABAD: Rain and thundershowers are likely to occur in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, and other parts of the country this week.
According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), westerly winds are likely to enter the western parts of Pakistan on Tuesday evening or night.
It is likely to cover most parts of Pakistan on April 17 (Wednesday). Under the influence of this weather system, intermittent rains are likely to occur in some parts of Pakistan from April 16 (night) to April 21.
Rain and wind/thundershowers are expected over Balochistan from April 16 (night) to April 19 (morning). From April 17 to April 21, some parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are likely to experience strong winds and thundershowers. From April 18, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir are likely to experience intermittent rain with a few heavy showers and snowfall over the higher mountains. April 22.
Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Lahore, and some parts of Punjab are expected to experience rain, storms, and hail from April 18 to April 21. Rain, wind, and thundershowers are expected over Karachi, Hyderabad, and some parts of Sindh from April onwards. 17 to 19 April.

Heavy rain may cause flooding in local drains and rivers from April 17 to April 18 in Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Kashmir from April 18 to April 20. Landslides are likely in Upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Murree, Guliyat, Kashmir, and Gilgit. Baltistan from 18th April to 21st April.
