ISLAMABAD: For the convenience of the public, Federal Minister of Interior Mohsin Naqvi today abolished the death certificate fee.
Mohsin Naqvi announced this during his visit to the National Database & Registration Authority (NADRA) Headquarters in Islamabad on Thursday.
The Interior Minister also directed the concerned authorities to immediately block mobile SIM cards that have been issued on invalid and expired identity cards.

He said model NADRA offices should be set up across the country. The minister directed to ensure complete security of citizens’ data. The federal minister planted saplings on the lawn of the NADRA headquarters as part of the plantation campaign.
During his visit, the Minister also chaired a meeting with Chairman NADRA Lieutenant General Muhammad Munir Afsar, where he was briefed about the NADRA roadmap for 2024-25.
The roadmap includes a modern and phased security architecture, cyber security audits, upgradation of NADRA technology, and improving online platforms for registration. The facilities will not only benefit citizens across the country but also those living abroad.
