KARACHI: Provincial Capital Karachi has witnessed anther suicide attack on Friday Morning in which five Japanese workers remain safe, now CCTV footage of the attack surfaced on the social media.
Suicide attack footage shows the bomber detonating his explosive-laden vest near a van carrying foreign nationals.
The vehicle was spotted moving on the Karachi road while three terrorists can be seen following them on a motorcycle towards the site of the incident.
While an attacker was spotted prowling on sidewalk in anticipation of the Japanese people’s vehicle. As soon as the van came near, the man could be seen running across the road and blowing himself up in a bid to kill the attackers.
It also shows another van behind the vehicle quickly moving backward to get away from the site.
Third video clip of the incident also viral on social media in which police personnel firing on the terroirs.
As per the police, five Japanese nationals, who were on the way to the Export Processing Zone from their Clifton residence, remained unhurt as retaliatory firing from security guards foiled the terrorist attack.
According to Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Malir Tariq Mastoi, a suicide attack was carried out on the car targeting foreigners. At the time of the explosion, firing was also done on the vehicle.

“All five foreigners, including four in the front vehicle and one in the following police vehicle, remained safe in the attack,” he said, adding that the vehicle carrying the Japanese nationals was bullet-proof.
Following the firing, one of the terrorists exploded his explosives-laden jacket which damaged the foreigners’ vehicle and a motorcycle injuring three people, including two guards, police said.
Additionally, Police added that two persons who were injured in the suicide blast have been identified as 45-year-old Noor Muhammad and Langar Khan, while the persons who died in the incident have not been identified yet.
Security forces and rescue teams rushed to the site shifting the foreigners to a safe place and the injured to the nearby hospital.
Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) DIG Asif Aijaz Shaikh told a local publication that another “suicide bomber” who was there for “backup” was gunned down by the Sharafi Goth police party patrolling the area at the time of the blast.
