LAHORE – Police have issued a traffic plan for Lahore as Iranian President Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi is visiting Lahore as part of his three-day official trip to Pakistan.
To minimize disruption, the Lahore Ring Road would stay blocked from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m., according to the police.
The police further said that Lahore-bound traffic will be diverted from Kala Shah Kaku until the Iranian president is in the city.
In the meantime, during the formal visit of the Iranian President on Tuesday, April 23, 2024, the Punjab government announced a holiday in Lahore.
Official notification states that government offices, schools, and educational institutions will be closed on April 23, 2024, during the high-profile visit.
In a notification, the Chief Secretary of Punjab stated that the holiday would only be observed in District Lahore and that it would not be observed in any of the Punjab Civil Secretariat’s departments.
