LAHORE: Wicket-keeper batsman Mohammad Rizwan and Mohammad Irfan Khan Niazi has been ruled out from remaining two matched of five-match T20 series against New Zealand at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium.
In a press release issued today, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has shared the injury update on Mohammad Rizwan and Mohammad Irfan Khan Niazi. According to the PCB, after reviewing the medical report, Pakistan team management has decided to rest Rizwan and Irfan Khan from upcoming 4th and 5th T20Is against New Zealand scheduled to play on Thursday and Saturday.
“PCB Medical Panel yesterday received Radiology reports of Mohammad Rizwan and Mohammad Irfan Khan,” PCB said.

The two players will work on their rehabilitation with the PCB Medical Panel at National Cricket Academy (NCA), it said.
Earlier, Rizwan left the field after experienced discomfort in his right hamstring while batting in the third T20I against New Zealand on Sunday in Rawalpindi.
Meanwhile, Irfan Khan Niazi also appears to have sustained an injury during the same match, however, the nature of the injury is yet unknown.
