ISLAMABAD: President of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PMLN) Punjab, Rana Sanaullah has been appointed as Prime Minister’s Advisor on Political and Public Affairs, here on Tuesday.
According to a private news channel, President Asif Ali Zardari has approved the appointment of Rana Sanaullah as the Adviser on Political and Public Affairs on PM Shehbaz Sharif’s advice.
As per the report, Rana Sanaullah has also been given the status of a federal minister.
Rana Sanaullah’s defeat by a PTI-backed candidate in the 2024 general elections in Faisalabad.
Sources revealed that after that, PML-N decided to induct him into the Punjab cabinet or into the center with a major role.

It should be noted that Rana Sanaullah lost the election in the National Assembly Constituency NA-100 Faisalabad.
According to the results, independent candidate Nisar Jat, supported by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), won the NA-100 by getting 131 thousand 996 votes. leading by 19,593 votes.
Rana Sanaullah of PML-N got 112403 votes.
