ISLAMABAD: Foreign Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Saidov will undertake a two-day official visit to Pakistan from tomorrow (Wednesday), the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said.
Foreign Office Spokesperson Mumtaz Zehra Baloch said, “The visit of the Foreign Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan is expected to provide fresh impetus to the friendly relations between the two countries.”
During the visit, Foreign Minister Saidov will call on Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif and hold in-depth talks with Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar on a wide range of bilateral issues of mutual interest, with special focus on trade and connectivity, it added.

Over the past few weeks, Pakistan has hosted some senior foreign dignitaries and government officials including Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi, the Saudi Foreign Minister, and a Saudi Business Delegation.
Earlier it emerged that Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia, Mohammed Bin Salman Al Saud is likely to visit Pakistan this month.
This will be the first visit by the Saudi Crown Prince to Pakistan in five years. During the visit, MoUs regarding the $5 billion investment will likely be signed, the sources said adding that dates for the crown prince’s visit are being finalized.
