The Special Anti-Terrorism Court indicted seven people, including former SHO Amanullah Marwat, in the Naqeebullah murder case. Special Court No. 16 heard the case at Karachi Central Jail’s Anti-Terrorism Complex.
Former SHOs Amanullah Marwat, Gada Hussain, Sadaqat Hussain, Riaz Ahmed, Raja Shamim, and Mohsin Abbas were brought before the court. The court indicted seven people, including former SHO Amanullah Marwat.
In court, the accused denied the charges. The court summoned the investigation officer and witnesses to the next hearing regarding the accused’s denial of the crime. The court also directed the jail authorities to present the arrested accused at the next hearing.

According to the prosecution, 18 police officers and personnel, including former SSP Malir Rao Anwar, were acquitted in the case. Seven police officers and officials, including former SHO Amanullah Marwat, were missing in the case. Following the Anti-Terrorism Court’s decision, the seven fugitive accused surrendered themselves.

One of the accused, Shoaib Shooter, is out on bail, while the other six, including Amanullah Marwat, have been arrested. Naqeebullah died in a police encounter in January 2018.
