LAHORE – In a major relief to inflation-hit citizens, the Punjab government reduced the price of a 10-kilogram flour bag by Rs500 to Rs600 across Punjab on Wednesday.
According to the details, a record reduction in the price of flour came after a high-level meeting held at the Punjab Food Department with Food Minister Bilal Yasin in the chair.
“The administration is ensuring the availability of roti and naan at the notified prices across Punjab,” he said.
In the Lahore division, a 10-kg flour bag is available at Rs800. A 10-kg flour bag is being sold at Rs830 in the Faisalabad division, Rs800 in the Sargodha division, and at Rs820 in Sahiwal division.
Furthermore, the Food Minister said that in the Gujrat division, a 10-kg bag flour bag is available at Rs850. Similarly, it is being sold at Rs860 in the Dera Ghazi Khan division and at Rs870 in the Bahawalpur division. In Gujranwala, Rawalpindi, and Multan divisions, a bag of 10 kg flour is available at Rs 900.

Flour price reduced in Karachi, Peshawar
On the other hand, due to the wheat crisis in the country, milled flour in Karachi has reduced from Rs 160 per kg to Rs 140 per kg.
In Peshawar, the price of a 20 kg sack of mill flour has been reduced by Rs 800, while a decrease of Rs 50 per kg has been seen in rice.
