Sindh Police took action after a video of a senior superintendent of police (SSP) went viral on Sunday in which he could been serving tea to some political leaders.
Sindh Inspector General Ghulam Nabi Memon labeled the officer’s action as “very wrong”, adding that a written explanation will be sought from him.
IG Memon went on to say that he would still have to respond, even though the Sindh SSP’s behavior was an individual act.
In the now-viral video, a senior police officer is seen pouring tea to sitting political figures during what appears to be a ceremony. Saeed Ghani, the leader of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) and a minister from Sindh, was also shown seated in the footage.
Where the political function was being held is unclear, though.
a few days prior, a video featuring SSP Mirpurkhas Asad Chaudhry became popular on social media. In the video, he was seen serving tea to attendees at a PPP gathering.
