ISLAMABAD: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has sealed three plazas and gates in an operation to recover 510 kanals of government land from Bahria Enclave.
According to the details, the operation was carried out on Thursday under the leadership of DC CDA Sardar Asif.
Assistant Commissioner (AC) Abdullah and Tehsildar Mirza Saeed were also present in the operation.
The operation was carried out on the instructions of chairman CDA Muhammad Ali Randhawa.
In the operation, CDA officials conducted an operation to recover 510 kanals of government land from Bahria Enclave and sealed three plazas and gates.
It may be recalled that 510 kanals of land belonging to Kari CDA village is in the possession of Bahria Enclave.
Earlier, the Supreme Court of Pakistan had strict instructions that the land should be recovered from Bahria Enclave, according to which it was ordered to recover government and illegal land from Bahria Town, Bahria Enclave and other housing societies.
The Capital Development Authority (CDA) had measured the land in Bahria Enclave in collaboration with other departments to identify government and illegal land, according to which Bahria Enclave had illegally occupied 510 kanals of government land.

As per the CDA records, Bahria Enclave has constructed several buildings including seven residential houses, two commercial buildings, a restaurant and a zoo on government land.
