LAHORE: Former First Lady Bushra Bibi’s close friend Chaudhry Muhammad Iqbal, who is the father-in-law of Farah Gogi, has been formally given an election ticket by the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N).
According to media accounts, Chaudhry Muhammad Iqbal was a member of the Punjab Assembly before, having been elected on a PML-N ticket. He lost to Chaudhry Parvez Elahi in the 2018 election when he was running to be the Punjab Assembly Speaker.

The PML-N has presented their candidates for the constituencies of Rawalpindi, Attock, Chakwal, Jhelum, and Talagang as part of its preparations for the next general elections.
Important candidates that have been announced are Raja Sagheer Ahmed for PP-7, Osama Sarwar Abbasi for NA-51 National Assembly Constituency, and Bilal Yamin Sati for PP-6 Provincial Assembly Constituency. All are running on the PML-N ticket.

Javed Ikhlas for NA-52, Raja Qamar Islam for NA-53, Malik Abrar for NA-55, and Hanif Abbasi for NA-56 are among the other nominees. In addition, N. Major (retd) Tahir Iqbal has been given a ticket to run in NA-58, Sardar Ghulam Abbas is the PML-N candidate in NA-59, and Daniyal Chaudhry is scheduled to run in NA-57.
With candidates like Hameed Akhtar for PP-3, Sher Ali Khan for PP-4, Malik Pravi Khan for PP-5, Muhammad Bilal Yasin for PP-6, Raja Saghir Ahmad for PP-7, and others, the PML-N has also decided on their selections for a number of provincial assembly seats. – INP
