LAHORE: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and Pakistan Super League (PSL) franchise owners held a meeting in which the PSL 2025 window was discussed.
During the meeting, the PCB said that holding PSL 10 alongside the Indian Premier League (IPL) during the April/May window next year will be beneficial for the players and fans.
The PCB also affirmed that it will provide the option to franchises of directly signing one marquee player for several years ahead of the next season.
Earlier this month, the PCB had proposed an April 7 to May 20 window for the PSL 2025, due to the ICC Champions Trophy in Pakistan next year in February-March over two weeks, but it clashes with the window for IPL.
However, Pakistan Super League (PSL) franchises expressed dissatisfaction with the PCB’s proposal of conducting the country’s top cricketing event in the same window as the IPL 2025.

During today’s meeting, the Pakistan Cricket Board presented the plan to add two more teams to PSL 2026. PSL 2025 will be the last time that six teams will feature in the tournament.
It was decided that PCB will also consider Peshawar and Quetta as possible venues for the PSL but this will be subject to the environment of both cities being conducive and supportive.
Chairman PCB Mohsin Naqvi expressed the desire to bring Peshawar and Quetta back into the Pakistan cricket calendar by giving them domestic matches in the 2024-25 season.
