Lahore: Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Lahore has announced that driving license offices across Punjab will remain closed during the upgrade of the license system.
In a statement, CTO Lahore Amara Athars said that the driving license system in Punjab will be upgraded, and all license offices will remain closed from May 23 to May 27.
The system will be down from May 23rd at 5 p.m. to May 27th at 3 p.m. due to an upgrade. During this time, learner permits, renewals, and fresh licenses, as well as international licenses, will not be issued.
Citizens are advised to visit the license offices after 3 p.m. on May 27, and those with e-licenses will be considered valid. The officer also clarified that no challan tickets will be issued to e-license holders during this period.

Earlier in the day, Chief Minister (CM) Maryam Nawaz had set up four driving schools to teach women motorcycle and car driving.
The schools include Abshar Driving School on Jail Road, Women on Wheels School on Ferozepur Road, Liberty Service Center Driving School, and Manawan Traffic Lines Driving School.
Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Lahore said that classes are held from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. for the convenience of women, while driving schools offer women-to-women service, where women instructors teach women learners. Teaches and helps them.
The initiative aims to promote women’s independence and mobility, enabling them to become self-reliant and confident individuals.
