Bilawal Bhutto stated that their aspiration is to build a new Pakistan.
LAHORE – Chairman of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Bilawal Bhutto has demanded a transparent investigation into the Model Town incident while urging accountability for those responsible.
Bilawal Bhutto, along with Asif Ali Zardari, arrived at the Minhaj-ul-Quran International central secretariat in Lahore on Friday, where they held a meeting with leaders of the Awami Tehreek. Following the meeting, an agreement was reached between the Pakistan Peoples Party and the Pakistan Awami Tehreek to collaborate on joint efforts.
During a press conference with leaders of the PPP, Bilawal Bhutto stated that their aspiration is to build a new Pakistan and take actions for the ease of the people. He expressed the wish to form a government that does not pursue revenge against the opposition, unlike what he anticipates from former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, claiming his political agenda would be vengeful.
Bilawal emphasized that in the past, there were personal enmities and ego-driven politics. He asserted that they want to establish a government that does not target opponents, aiming to eliminate the politics of hatred and division.

Addressing the need for a transparent inquiry into the Model Town incident, Bilawal insisted that those responsible for the incident should face consequences. He stated that their top priority is the welfare and improvement of the people, and efforts will be made to avoid an increase in public distress.
