KARACHI: The Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) predicted on Saturday the prevailing heatwave in Punjab till May 27.
According to details, the maximum temperature in the province is expected to be 48 degrees Celsius.
The PDMA highlighted the possibility of a severe heatwave in Bahawalpur, Rahim Yar Khan, Dera Ghazi Khan, and Multan.
Moreover, the PDMA director general said that heatwave counters had been established at all the hospitals to avert heatstroke.
“The steps are being taken to ensure the provision of clean water in Cholistan.”
It was the PDMA’s responsibility to ensure that all relevant medications were available.
Dadu recorded a temperature of 47 degrees Celsius in the meantime.
The district administration had established the heatstroke camp.

Dadu Civil Hospital had also experienced a heatwave stroke.
In addition, the residents were suffering because of the up to 14-hour power outage.
Conversely, Sukkur recorded a temperature of 49 degrees Celsius.
