ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif Tuesday formed the Cabinet Committee on Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC).
The Cabinet Division has also issued a notification for the formation of the Committee.
The committee has been constituted under Rule 17 of the Rules of Business, 1973. The committee will consist of 6 regular members, while six will be coopt-members.
According to the notification, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will be the Chairman of the SIFC Cabinet Committee along with COAS Gen Asim Munir, and Chief Ministers as members of the committee.

Among the other eleven members are Ministers of Defense, Finance, Planning and Development, IT, National Food Security, Power, Law and Justice, Investment, Industry and Production, and Petroleum are included in the committee.
The decisions of the SIFC committee will be submitted to the federal cabinet meeting for final approval. SIFC will provide secretariat support to this committee.
