ISLAMABAD: The administration of the capital has decided to set up cattle markets at five different places in Islamabad for the upcoming Eid-ul-Adha 2024., here on Friday.
An official of Islamabad’s Deputy Commissioner’s Office said that the administration is preparing for the cattle market season.
DC Islamabad Irfan Nawaz Memon also chaired a meeting to finalize the arrangements in which all Assistant Commissioners (ACs), District Management Authority (DMA) Directors, Livestock Department and Traffic Police representatives. attended.
It has been decided that cattle markets will open at five points from June 6 so that people can easily buy sacrificial animals.
The markets will be set up at Sultana Foundation, Zia Masjid, Barkho, I-14, and Margalla Avenue.

DC Memon has directed the concerned officers to ensure cleanliness in these markets. He said that special arrangements will be made for the convenience of both traders and buyers.
He said that no one will be allowed to buy and sell cattle outside the given places.
