More flights cancelled and delayed from Karachi Airport

KARACHI: Passengers suffered again at Karachi’s Jinnah International Airport as more flights were delayed or canceled on Monday.

According to the details, PK-310, a PIA flight from Karachi to Quetta, has been canceled. Additionally, PIA flight PK-368 from Karachi to Islamabad was delayed.

Furthermore, SereneAir’s flight ER-522 on the same route as AirSial’s PF-143 from Karachi to Lahore has been canceled. Additional flights canceled were Airblue flight PA-402, which was headed for Lahore; SereneAir flight ER-502; PIA flight PK-308; Airblue flight PA-208; and SereneAir flight PR-554, which was headed for Peshawar.

At Jinnah International Airport in Karachi, runway L-25 was closed for a week on Saturday to be cleaned. According to the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), a significant number of rubber particles on the surface led to the decision to close the runway.

“The runway will remain closed until June 7,” the CAA said. The authority clarified that flights will be redirected to alternative runways during this period.
