ISLAMABAD: OpenAI’s chatbot ChatGPT is now back online after being inaccessible to some users for hours across world, here on Tuesday.
As per the details, the outage was reported around 1 p.m. However, it now appears that users can access ChatGPT. We tested both desktop and mobile apps, and the chatbot is working perfectly.
Earlier today, some users reported that the website was not accessible, others said they were unable to generate a response. At the time, we tried to access the service on desktop, and the AI chatbot wouldn’t let us enter any prompts and displayed a red text message that said ‘Internal Server Error’. We also tried using the chatbot on the iPhone. However, it showed similar results.
According to Downdetector, a website that tracks the online status of various services, the outage started around 1 pm IST. Even OpenAI’s status page suggested that ChatGPT is unavailable for some users and that they are currently investigating the issue.
Now, OpenAI’s support page indicates that the company has identified the root cause of the problem and that they are “continuing to work on a fix for this issue.”

However, the support page indicates that the API is currently working, meaning any third-party services that rely on OpenAI’s technology are working normally.
Several X users expressed their views on the closure. While some resorted to sharing memes, others simply expressed their displeasure.
I’m asking ChatGPT why it’s not working but I’m not getting an answer!
