ISLAMABAD: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has managed to bring as many as 30 electric buses to Islamabad.
According to details, 30 out of 160 electric buses have reached Islamabad. They have been shifted to Jinnah Convention Center, a charging point.
Initially, these 30 buses will ply on two routes. The first route will start from NUST and end at the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (Pims) after passing through G-11 Markaz, G-10 Markaz, G-9 Markaz and G-8 Markaz. “The first route will have 13 stops and a bus will reach a stop after every 10 minutes,” a CDA spokesperson said.
“The second route will start from Pims and conclude at Bari Imam after passing through G-7, G-6, Melody, Abpara, Ataturk Road, Serena Hotel, Foreign Office, Radio Pakistan, Diplomatic Enclave,” he said.
Replying to a question, he said that the service will remain operational from 6 am to 10 pm.
“On the instructions of the CDA chairman, a procedure will also be devised to give subsidy to the deserving peoples, including disabled persons, students and others,” he said.
Meanwhile, CDA Chairman Mohammad Ali Randhawa visited Sector E-12 on Wednesday. Other officers of CDA accompanied the Chairman during his visit.
Mr Randhawa while listening to the problems of the affectees and allottees of the sector directed that the One Window in Sector E-12 should be made operational immediately so that the allotment letters of the plots can be issued to the real victims of the sector through the One Window established in the sector.
The CDA chairman also urged municipal administrators to execute development projects in the sector and reclaim government land from illegal occupants. He commanded that the development work for sector E-12 be completed within three months.
He also coordinated third-party validation of the development activities in Sector E-12. The chairman of the CDA stated that payments would be made upon third-party approval of the development activities.
He also stated that any deficiencies in the quality of development work would not be tolerated.
