ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has announced Eid-ul-Adha 2024 holidays.
The holidays will begin on Monday, June 17, which will fall on the first day of Eid, and end on Wednesday, June 19.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif announced the holidays by approving a summary sent by the cabinet division.
Eid ul Adha is one of the holiest days of the year for Muslims, who offer sacrifice to purify their deeds and wealth every year.
Holidays are traditionally announced for the first two days of Hajj as well, which fall on Saturday and Sunday this year.
The approved holidays will add to the already scheduled weekend off on Saturday, June 15th, and Sunday, June 16th. This means Pakistanis will enjoy five holidays on the occasion of Eid-ul-Adha.
