Islamabad: Chicken prices in Punjab massively increased before Eid-ul-Azha 2024, here on Wednesday.
Chicken meat is one of the most consumed meats in Pakistan. The demand for poultry remains high throughout the year, as it is widely used in all kinds of dishes.
As per latest official rates, the price of chicken meat in the local market is now Rs 368 per kg.
The price of the live broiler (wholesale) is now fixed at Rs 354 per kg, compared to Rs 331 last week. Similarly, the price of a live broiler (retail) price is Rs 368 with a increased from last week’s 320.
The price of a dozen eggs has been also increased from Rs. 237 to 246.

Live Broiler (per kilogram) sold wholesale: Rs. 340
Live Broiler (per kilogram) sold in retail: Rs. 368
Broiler Meat (per kilogram) sold in retail: Rs. 534
Eggs from farms (per packet): Rs. 7260
These prices reflect the current market rates in the Punjab poultry industry.
