KARACHI: At least 14 bodies were found across Karachi on Sunday. An Edhi Foundation official said that most of the bodies were of drug addicts who had died due to severe heat while being under the effect of narcotics.

It said most of the deceased were drug addicts and they were under the influence of drugs when they died due to severe heat.

A spokesperson said that usually, two to four bodies of drug addicts were found in different areas of Karachi daily. However, due to the increasing temperatures and rising number of drug addicts, the number of deaths had also been increasing, he added.

He said the more the drug addicts continued to consume narcotics in the extremely hot weather, the more the risk of death would be.
