WAH CANTT: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Syed Asim Munir paid a visit to Pakistan Ordnance Factories (POF) Wah, where he was briefed on the institution’s significant contributions to national defense and its potential for exports.
During the visit, COAS received a detailed overview of POF’s production capabilities and its role in meeting the defense requirements of the Pakistan Armed Forces. The presentation also highlighted the export potential of POF.
Witnessing a variety of POF products, including newly designed and locally manufactured weapons and ammunition undergoing test and trials, COAS expressed his appreciation for the dedicated efforts of POF in advancing the country’s defense capabilities.
In his address to POF officers and staff, COAS recognized their crucial contributions to both national security and the economy, emphasizing how POF has become a pivotal defense industry in Pakistan.
COAS remarked, “The path to national progress is defined by indigenous and local industries like POF Wah. We will continue to work for self-reliance and the latest technology, which is essential for ensuring reliability and strengthening the defense of Pakistan.”
