Chitral: The Shandur Polo Festival, which was to be held at the world’s highest polo ground in Upper Chitral district, has been postponed. This decision has been taken in view of the weather conditions affecting the region.
A notification issued by the Secretary, Department of Culture, Tourism and Archeology on Monday confirmed the postponement. Originally scheduled to be held from June 28 to June 30, the festival has been rescheduled due to the current inclement weather.
Traditionally held every year from July 7 to July 9, the Shandur Polo festival attracts fans and participants from all over the world.
