ISLAMABAD: The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has announced an increase in visit visa fees for Pakistani nationals, effective immediately. Under the new guidelines, obtaining a tourist visa for 30 days will cost AED 200, while a 60-day visa will cost AED 300, with an additional 5 percent value-added tax.
This revised visa fee, effective from June 2024, applies to both new applicants and those seeking visa extension within the UAE. In addition to the increased visa fee, applicants will also have to pay a Dh500 country processing fee as well as a Dh20 innovation fee
Applicants must provide a copy of passport, personal photograph, national identity card (for certain nationalities), valid UAE medical insurance, and proof of onward or return travel. Applications can be completed through the GDRFA website or their smart application.
The UAE aims to streamline the visa process and increase transparency in the fee structure, with the aim of maintaining its position as a top tourist destination in the Gulf region.
