KARACHI: Commissioner Karachi Syed Hasan Naqvi has imposed a complete one-month ban on sea bathing given the alarming threats of rising tidal waves on Saturday.
The notification has also been issued in this regard under Section 144 and the ban will be effective until July 27.
The notification said that large and dangerous waves are developing near Karachi’s shores, which may endanger the lives of swimmers in the sea. The notification underscores the potential danger to life associated with these conditions.
According to the notification, the area SHO will be empowered to initiate legal proceedings against those found violating the ban.
