According to former prime minister Shehbaz Sharif, “the missile attack is against the spirit of our friendship and principles of good neighborliness’.
The interim minister of information for Balochistan, Jan Achakzai, stated on Wednesday that Tehran’s infringement of Pakistani sovereignty “damages relations” between Iran and Pakistan.
“The adversary is attempting to invade Pakistan from the outside, particularly in Balochistan. The minister declared, “The opponents’ schemes will never be successful.
The minister made these remarks at a press conference in Quetta following Iran’s late-tuesday drone and missile attack on “militant bases” close to its shared border with Pakistan. However, three girls were hurt and two innocent children died as a result of the incident.
However, Islamabad has angrily condemned the strike, calling it “unprovoked” and “completely unacceptable” and threatening to impose severe penalties on Tehran for violating its airspace.
Foreign Office spokesperson Mumtaz Zahra Baloch issued a statement saying, “Pakistan strongly condemns the unprovoked violation of its airspace by Iran which resulted in the death of two innocent children while injuring three girls.”
According to Ackazai, the security services and government of Pakistan are ready to bring about peace and order in Balochistan. “We are capable of fully countering hostile forces everywhere.”
Shehbaz Sharif, the previous prime minister, expressed his dismay at the Iranian violation of Pakistani sovereignty in the meantime.
The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz president posted on X, a platform that was once Twitter, saying, “This missile attack is against spirit of our friendship and principles of good neighbourliness, especially as it undermines the historic relationship between our two countries.”

The former prime minister stated that serious cooperation and honest communication between Pakistan and Iran were urgently needed. Additionally, he sent his sympathies to the families of those killed in the tragedy.
Iran, it should be mentioned, did not immediately provide an official statement, but its state-run news agency, Nour News, said that the attack damaged the Pakistani headquarters of a terrorist organization that Iran has blacklisted due to the group’s repeated attacks on Iranian territory in recent years.
Iran has already undertaken missile strikes against “terrorist” and “spy headquarters” sites in Syria as well as the autonomous Kurdistan region of Iraq.
