Iran Clarifies Intentions Amidst Cross-Border Tensions with Pakistan.

In a diplomatic address in Deos, Switzerland, Iranian Foreign Minister Hussein Amirabdollahian emphasized that Iran’s recent missile and drone strikes targeted only terrorists operating within Pakistan, with no intention of harming Pakistani civilians. Amirabdollahian clarified that Iran’s actions were aimed at eradicating terrorist threats and were not intended as an aggression against Pakistan.

Addressing concerns over the recent cross-border tensions, the Iranian Foreign Minister stated that the targeted terrorists had affiliations with Israel. He assured that Iran remains committed to its national security and would respond resolutely to any attacks on its sovereignty.

Amirabdollahian discussed the recent attacks in Iraq, stating that they were in response to Israeli Mossad agency activities against Iran’s anti-Israel initiatives in the region. He acknowledged and respected Iraq’s regional autonomy, highlighting that intelligence sharing regarding Mossad operations had taken place with Iraqi Kurdistan.

Commenting on the situation in Gaza, Amirabdollahian expressed concern, stating that if Israeli crimes in Gaza continue unchecked, they will inevitably cause harm to everyone. The Iranian Foreign Minister urged the international community to work towards ending the atrocities in Gaza.

It is noteworthy that recent reports from Iranian state media claimed that Iranian security forces conducted missile and drone strikes on two locations in Pakistan’s Balochistan province, targeting the militant group “Jaish al-Adl.” The Pakistani Foreign Ministry condemned the attacks, revealing that the strikes resulted in the tragic loss of innocent lives, including two children, with three others sustaining injuries.
