LAHORE: Punjab government is promoting technological advancement in schools to improve digital literacy of students and prepare them for the future, school students are set to get budget laptops.
To help students get new technical training, the Punjab School Education Department has joined hands with UK and Canada’s Tech Valley to distribute Chromebooks to 200 schools.
The agreement was endorsed by Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat and aims to enhance digital learning and IT skills among students and teachers.
Along with distributing laptops, Tech Valley will also conduct IT training for thousands of students and teachers in Punjab, supported by Google for Education.
The Education Minister of Punjab said that matric and intermediate students will be trained under this initiative. This initiative seeks to improve the educational environment of Punjab by imparting essential digital skills to students, preparing them for future challenges.
