ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has restrained PTI activist Sanam Javed from being arrested under any circumstances till July 18, here on Monday.
As per the details, the Islamabad High Court Justice Mia Gul Hassan Aurangzeb issued this order on a petition filed by the PTI activist’s father against his daughter’s detention.
The High Court has warned that if Sanam makes any controversial statement during this period, it will withdraw its order. The court also directed them to stay within the limits of Islamabad till July 18.
Sanam was represented by her lawyer Mian Ali Ashfaq while Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) and Balochistan Police officials were present in the court. Islamabad Police IG Ali Nasir Rizvi also attended the hearing.
During the hearing, the Advocate General of Islamabad told the court that Balochistan Police has sought a transit remand to transfer Sanam to Balochistan.
Justice Aurangzeb has sought a year-long record of cases filed against the PTI activist, who was arrested after a crackdown on the May 9 riots.
A day ago, PTI leader Sanam Javed was re-arrested by the Islamabad Police soon after he was acquitted in an FIA case.
The District and Sessions Court of the capital acquitted Sanam Javed in the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) case.
