KARACHI: The Sindh government has decided to revise the matric and intermediate annual examination schedule and that the examinations will be held simultaneously with the whole country.
Sindh Minister for Universities and Boards, Muhammad Ali Malkani, announced that the annual matric and intermediate examinations will be held from March, starting next year, instead of the peak summer season.
Talking to the media at the inauguration ceremony of a facilitation center at the Karachi Inter Board, Malkani stated that the exams would now be conducted simultaneously with the rest of the country.
Meanwhile, the minister of universities and boards said that we will go to the technology-based assessment in the whole of Sindh and reduce the amount of human involvement in the assessment. “We will adopt an e-marking system for examinations in 2025.”
Earlier this year, several students fainted while taking exams amid load-shedding at various centers across the province. This situation prompted the government to review the examination schedule to provide relief to students.
