ISLAMABAD: The capital city sweltered in severe heat today, with anticipated rainfall in parts of the city in the evening. However, Humid conditions are expected to persist in the federal capital.
The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) predicts rain, accompanied by gusty winds and thundershowers, in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Murree, Galliyat, Attock, Chakwal, Tala Gang, Jhelum, and other areas of Punjab from July 22 to 25, with intermittent breaks.
Earlier forecasts from the Met Office indicated rain likely in Islamabad, Punjab, Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Gilgit-Baltistan on Wednesday, with isolated showers expected in eastern Balochistan.
Met Office predicted rain wind/thundershowers in Kashmir (Neelum valley, Muzaffarabad, Rawalakot, Poonch, Hattian, Bagh, Haveli, Sudhanoti, Kotli, Bhimber, Mirpur) for the next three days with occasional gaps.
Moreover, PMD has also forecasted mainly partly cloudy to cloudy weather conditions in Gilgit-Baltistan. However, rainfall activity is also expected in Gilgit-Baltistan (Diamir, Astore, Skardu, Gilgit, Ghanche, and Shigar) from today till July 27 with occasional gaps.
