ISLAMABAD: The Federal Government on Thursday, announced the implementation of Section 144 across Punjab and Islamabad for the next three days, avoiding any public gatherings.
The decision was made keeping the security concerns in mind. According to section 144 no public assemblies, processions, and protests will be allowed from July 26-28.
The Government introduced these measures with potential terrorist threats. Capital City management issued warnings against any violation, focusing that any negligence will be faced with strict penalties.
The security has been doubled up in Islamabad by the Islamabad police whereas, civilians are advised to avoid practicing any unethical activity.
Similar orders are being introduced in Punjab, the Home Department declared that section 144 will be operational from July 26 to July 28.
Prohibiting all forms of public events including rallies and protests. The Interior Department notified that such gatherings can become a victim of the terrorist attack.
