QUETTA: Reports emerged that following Sindh, the Balochistan government has also extended the summer vacations for schools and other educational institutes across the province.
According to the reports, the educational institutes in Balochistan will remain closed till August 14 and reopen on August 15.
The summer vacations were extended on the directions of Chief Minister Balochistan Sarfraz, the reports suggested.
However, the provincial government has already announced a summer break from June 1 to August 13, 2024. Balochistan government issued a notification regarding the summer vacations on May 30.
The Balochistan government has announced summer vacations in schools across the province amid the scorching heat. The education department has announced summer vacations from May 15 to July 31 in areas facing heatwaves.
Educational activities will resume in these areas from August 1, 2024.
Meanwhile, there will be a 10-day holiday from July 22 to July 31 in colder regions.
