ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Friday permitted Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) to stage a protest in the federal capital on Monday (July 29) which led to the cancellation of the opposition party’s today’s protest.
PTI leader Amir Mughal moved IHC seeking permission for a protest in Islamabad as the capital authorities have prohibited the party from staging the protest on July 26.
Following the IHC Justice Saman Rifat’s reserved verdict, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) postponed today’s protest in Islamabad.

Aamir Mughal said that the court has not yet given written permission regarding the protest, taking the central leadership of the party into confidence, and has postponed the protest till Monday, today’s protest is being postponed till Monday in respect of the court order.
Earlier on Monday, PTI Secretary General Omar Ayub Khan called everyone to “fully participate” in the peaceful protest across the country against the immediate release of incarcerated PTI leaders and supporters, maintaining peace in the country, and growing inflation.
