LAHORE: In a tragic incident, a former police officer was shot dead by his stepbrother near the Joray Pull area in North Cantt, Lahore on Thursday.
According to the police, former SHO Lohari Gate Shahid Asghar’s son was harassed accused Ali’s security guards which led to a confrontation between the accused and the victim.
Shahid had asked Ali to stop his guards for their troubling behavior. The tensions between the brothers escalated into a fatal confrontation. Ali and his associates opened fire on former SHO Shahid Asghar and then fled the scene, police added.
The injured former SHO was shifted to the hospital but succumbed to his injuries.
Police have collected evidence from the crime scene, and initiated an investigation to arrest the culprits.
