LAHORE: The Punjab government has increased the fees for driving licenses in cities across the province, including Gujrat and Gujranwala, effective September 2024. This revision comes after a 20-year hiatus and aims to modernize administrative costs and streamline the process.
- Learner License: Rs500 (previously Rs60)
- Motorcycle Driving License: Rs500 per year (previously Rs550 for 5 years)
- Car, Jeep Driving License: Rs1,800 per year (previously Rs950 for 5 years)
Citizens are reminded that holding a valid driving license is mandatory to avoid legal issues. To obtain a license, applicants must pass both theoretical and practical tests and pay the required fees.
The revised fees aim to reflect modern administrative costs and encourage citizens to comply with regulations. The government urges citizens to obtain valid driving licenses to avoid potential legal troubles.
Earlier, the government also introduced an e-registration system for all your vehicle’s papers to prevent police and traffic personnel from fining the public without any authentic reasons.
